M.Shap Collection is a St. Petersburg–based men’s apparel brand built on community, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design. Founded in 2020 as 1771 Designs, the brand began with one shirt and one design during a time of uncertainty, when COVID forced the temporary shutdown of my family’s business in Downtown St. Petersburg. What started as a creative outlet quickly became something bigger—thanks entirely to the support of the local community.

The name 1771 was personal, chosen because 17 has always been my favorite number, but the growth of the brand was collective. From St. Pete to the greater Tampa Bay area, the encouragement, feedback, and loyalty of friends, neighbors, and local businesses helped transform a single design into a growing men’s apparel collection. Every step of the process—designing, refining, and improving—has been shaped by the people who wear the products.

Over the years, the brand evolved through constant refinement: better fabrics, improved fit, elevated details, and a clearer creative direction. In 2026, it became clear that the products had outgrown the name. M.Shap Collection was created to represent a true men’s lifestyle brand—one that honors its roots while confidently moving forward.

At the heart of the brand is appreciation for St. Pete and the Tampa Bay area. Our designs are inspired by the places, people, and everyday moments that define the local lifestyle. Each piece is Designed to Be Discovered, featuring subtle, detail-driven elements that reward a closer look. The goal isn’t loud logos or trends—it’s refined, relaxed apparel that feels personal, intentional, and built to last.
